Cinderella movie, and heading into revision mode.

Hey, you know that Cinderella movie that opened this weekend? Yeah? Go see it now! This remake is stunningly cinematic, the acting heartfelt (it got me teary twice!), and the music emotionally balanced. When it was over, I found myself surprised by how much I loved it. Considering how you know how it goes and ends, you would think their wouldn't be anything surprising about it at all. Yet somehow it made me feel like six year's old again, watching it for the very first time, and to me, that's some serious movie magic!









And those costumes! Ahhh! Everything was so beautiful, and the cast so perfect. I'm really glad Disney kept the story like its original. I'm getting tired of all those reimaginings. This just makes me even more excited for the 'Beauty and the Beast' remake with Emma Watson. That's my favorite Disney movie ever.

Okay now that my fangirling moment is over, I guess I should do a writing update on M3 (though I kinda just want to write a fairytale myself now). Pumping out the first draft, was well eh, painful. So I printed it out, did a read-through and made serious notes with the help of cocktails, fries, cookies, and ice cream. Not the best writing diet!




After posting on IWSG this month and getting encouraging feedback, I've decided to change a major component of my story which will mean serious revisions. So yeah, going into a second draft revision mode. I'm going at a snail's pace compared to last year's M2, but I have a pretty good excuse with the move and all ;)


Now go see Cinderella! It's Michelle-approved!

    I'm seeing Cinderella with some friends on Tuesday...because Richard Madden. I never even watched Game of Thrones. I just like Scottish men. :-)

    Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, so I'm excited about that.

    Good luck on your second draft. I'm getting there on the novel, but the novella is taking over!

    I've been on the fence about it. Disney's version of this story is my least favorite version, but I'll try. Lol!

    Go get that rewrite, girlie!! ^_^
    I wish I could make notes like that without my head exploding.

    I love fairy tales, but I think I'll wait until this one hits DVD.
    Lol! Revisions and rewrites are murder on the health--too much nibbling and chocolate and snacking and not nearly enough movement. The second one leaves the computer, an idea flashes and it's back to the keyboard before it disappears. But you can do it!!! :)

    Um... there's a Beauty and the Beast movie coming out? With Emma Watson? HOW did I not know about this? BATB was my favorite Disney film too!! Plus, what girl didn't envy that library Beast got for her? *Swoon worthy*

    Congrats on going into the second draft. Aren't those major story changes just lovely? But that's all part of the process and you're still going hard at it which means you want this bad. Good for you.

    Also: NICE writing diet. ;)

      oh yes! Release date is tentative for March 17, 2017! Can't wait! And yes, I really do need to clean up my writing diet :P

    I'm still so nervous to go see this one... I was severely disappointed by Maleficent, and don't want to see Beauty & the Beast ruined... (though I do want to see the French version that came out... last year(?), I think.)

      There was a French version that came out? I must look into that! Well, hopefully it isn't ruined, because in the chance that it's spectacularly-amazing? Then I'm all in!
